Our Pastor ~ Dr. Gary Jones 

Pastor Gary Jones has a genuine love for people and a heart to see people accept Christ as their Savior, and he seeks to train them in the Scriptures so that they can serve God.

After graduating from Bob Jones University with a degree in Bible, Pastor Jones served as a youth pastor and school administrator, and then he pastored two independent Baptist churches in the State of Pennsylvania.  In August of 1980, Pastor Jones accepted the position of pastor of Farmington Avenue Baptist Church.

Having been a pastor for over forty years, Pastor Jones knows the needs of people and seeks to meet those needs both from the pulpit and on an individual basis. Having completed a Master's Degree in Biblical counseling, he is equipped to deal with people and their problems from a Biblical standpoint.  In May 2005 he earned a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary in Lansdale, PA, with a dissertation on Principles of Biblical Church Growth.  Through this study he continues to see the importance of being biblical and conservative in all areas of church growth.

Pastor Jones stands without apology on his beliefs in the Word of God, and he preaches a strong message of salvation through Jesus Christ.
